pre release

I put the latest pre release at

Here's what's new.

* The version number :-).  20010708.  This Friday.  Really.
* The srpm now contains src/benchmark and src/regression, along with scripts
  to run the regressions and benchmarks.  Take a look, play around with them,
  and let me know what to fix.
* The home page now contains a link to a performance page.  I'm working on the
  numbers, and hope to have the script finalized so I can gather them tonight.
