upcoming release

Hi all.  I hope to do the release pretty soon.  Here's all that I know
of that's left on the todo list before the release.

* [sweeks] eliminate the hostmap file -- can use the value in the constants
  file to determine the host type

* [fluet] bug in known-case

* [sweeks] get self-compile working on Cygwin (not essential, but I
  thought I'd try)

* [henry] anonymous CVS -- it would be really nice to be able to point
  Anoq and Alain at our sources!

* [all] decide what to do about libgmp.  Currently, we do not include
  libgmp in our binary rpm.  How much pain might this cause users?
  Should we include it and check at install or compile time?  Should
  we just put a note in the docs?  Any other ideas?
