Yes, ones that are in C because they aren't program specific are going to be
aligned by the C compiler, but in the old days we had a bunch of
program-specific cells that were used as registers for values that didn't
live over recursive calls. If the number of such is larger than the number of
registers (which isn't hard) then do we just push them to the stack?
