A new version of MLton has been released, and the MLton home page and
mailing addresses have changed.  By virtue of being on the old mailing 
list, MLton-discuss@research.nj.nec.com, you have been moved over to
the new mailing list, MLton-discuss@sourcelight.com.  If you want to

We are pleased to announce a new release of MLton, an optimizing
compiler for Standard ML.  MLton runs on X86 machines under Linux.
MLton has the following features.
   + Generates standalone executables with good runtime performance 
   + SML 97 compliant 
   + Mostly complete basis library 
   + Fast IntInf based on the GNU multiprecision library (gmp) 
   + Libraries for continuations, threads, signal handlers, 
     and heap save and restore 
   + Profiling 
   + Fast C FFI 
The latest version of MLton is 20000712, and is distributed in RPM
