Yes, all Debian bug reports are automatically emailed to the the
packager, in this case me.

I will forward any that do not involve purely packaging issues (ie
errors on my part) to you.

This one was obviously my fault ... gcc version skew ...

PS I'm not packaging it for any reason of the sort you speculate.  I'm
teaching comparitive programming languages this Fall, so I'm packaging
many of the tools students in the class will use.
