LaTeX problem

Hmmm.  I tried to upgrade to tetex-1.0.7, but am having problems with failed
dependencies.

% ss rpm -U tetex*
        libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 is needed by tetex-1.0.7-7
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by tetex-1.0.7-7
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by tetex-afm-1.0.7-7
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by tetex-dvilj-1.0.7-7
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by tetex-dvips-1.0.7-7
        libXaw.so.7 is needed by tetex-xdvi-1.0.7-7
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by tetex-xdvi-1.0.7-7

Anyone have any ideas short of my upgrading to RedHat 7?
