Hi, Stephen.

You helped me get started with mlton in the first days of May.  I was
able to get our smlnj implementation to work under the experimental
release of mlton with the added TextIO and BinIO functions in less
than two days.  Most of that time was spent on differences between
smlnj and mlton support for pretty printing, hash tables, and frag
lists, and making a source tree that can compile under both compilers.
Our code appears to run nearly two times as fast under mlton as under
smlnj.  We are fairly happy with the performance and the stand-alone
binary.
