This version from CVS is also the compiler I am compiling with
now. If the version in CVS is not able to self-compile then
that could be the problem.

But I can't see how I can do the port if the compiler can't
self-compile? I need to add the command-line flags for
the MinGW compilation and do a native compile of that
before I can even trigger the cross-compilation -
as far as I know...
